Ghee has a higher smoke point than butter, but it still has a buttery flavor. If it is too thick, add a little more milk. Baking powder starts reacting the moment it hits the wet ingredients. If your milk is cold, the melted butter may solidify a little. Next, whisk your wet ingredients. Then, when you are ready to make pancakes, add the wet ingredients and cook!
